The simple, basic way to do this is just to have both drop downs, B_1 and B_2 on the view but Hide them both until A is chosen and then do not show the one you don't need. So depending on A's value show the corresponding B dropdown and keep the other hidden and vice versa. I am not sure having a dynamic drop down from two seperate ...

I have not seen InfoPathg freeze before but I have seen it act that way. The processor will go to 100% and it will not respond but eventually it will get all the way through processing the data. Probably the most I have had is a 1000 records from a SQL database. So i think you have to be patient.

The nature of the option buttons control is that it must have a value when selected. This occurs since you have not put anything in the value when select box. Hey Jason, sorry for the problems.
The issue has to do with SharePoint 2007 and the httpmodules. We typically see problems after install and have a configuration change to accomodate but I have not seen this before. I am checking to see what can be done with an issue preventing install.
We will have an answer for you shortly.

In InfoPath designer you would need to modify your dataconnection ...

You would have to reference your secondary data connection that feeds the drop down, not the dropdown directly, and use a filter to get the data you wanted.
item_name where item_id = dropdown field.
