What I would do is add a calculated column to the SharePoint list that concatenates the Code and Description. Then use that new field for the display in the dropdown, while using the code for the value. Does that make sense?

Hi,
I'm new to InfoPath (2010) and this forum, I've been browsing though the topics and there is a wealth of information here.
I suspect the question has been asked before but I'm not phrasing it correctly so let me explain....
I have a Sharepoint list (2007) which has a number of ...

We are using infopath to print a contract. We have two views. One view is a form just allowing the user to enter in data. The second view is the contract. The second view has been assigned to the first view as its "print view". The user fills out the form using InfoPath Filler and clicks print and voila the contract is available. ...

Hi - this can be tricky, because InfoPath doesn't have any rules for inserting rows.
Your options are:Code - this can be approached programmaticallyqRules - the company I work for has an InfoPath add in that can help with thisDefault values - if you know about how many max rows you'll be copying in, you can add ...

I'm using InfoPath form in Nintex workflow. I designed a form for approve or reject action and I want to display some information from the current item. how can I connect between the form and the item properties once the form is opened?
Thanks.

Oh you bet, sorry about the bad news.... I'd go with three data connections to the same list. I think that would work. And if you are using InfoPath 2010 or 2013, you can filter each list connection to only return the type of vendors you want to display (don't query on load, set the query field for vendor type to In-House, Panel or ...

This can be done! Where you've selected your multiselect, you'd select the field from the 2ds with the display instead, then you'd add a filter to that. I've done up a simple sample. Save it locally, right click and select Design, then preview and select some months...

Ah, well... dang it. That kind of blows up that setup. The list displays In-House vendors, then Panel vendors, then vendors whose agreements had terminated, as three different repeating tables from the same list. I guess I'll either have to make three lists or three data connections or something. Thanks ever so ...
