Can I see a copy of your form? You can attach a copy under the Options tab - it will be Monday before I can take a look. The rule I'm talking about would be on the Form Load rules - under Data > Form Load.

Hello Hilary - I am trying to make sense of that. This rule that your talking about would be on the Submit Button, correct? The other fields (email and title) are not using my email or title, FYI.

Yep... once submitted the ID is populated in SP.

The ID field isn't populated until the first submit to the list. If you open an existing item, do you see data in that field?

Is this a list form? If so, I've read you can append &DefaultView=Approval to the URL. https://blogs.elon.edu/techgeeks/2013/08/20/sharepointinfopath-link-to-a-particular-view-in-an-infopath-form-in-sharepoint-by-the-url/
