Check-box field name: field3
Table/Group name: tabl1
Conditional formatting on the section to hide (when no check-boxes are checked.)
count(my:table1/my:field3[. = "true"]) = 0Whenever a check box is ticked, this logic/formula will return false and section will appear.

The way suggested above is correct, you can design the form initially based on the Access database and this would allow you to submit new/update records records. Otherwise you could try leveraging ADO objects in JScript or VBScript.
Attacking it from the Microsoft Access side it might be of interest to you, the ImportXML VBA command in ...

You might have been onto something re: the recompiling - you may have tried the 'Extract Form Files' function in the File menu and checked out what 'included files' were there - or other stuff - redundant now that you've rebuilt it, but the problem may have been more obvious after extraction.

Auto-Populate
I think you are actually trying to say is you need the form to open with the fields already pre-populated and that default values have 'paragraphs'.
And of course the Infopath GUI is only giving you single line text box to enter default values for fields.
So here's a method/solution.Create the text (not rich text) ...

English Only - Not sure if this kind of 'condition/validation' would work, but try something like:

Three ways -
For both ways I use a secondary data connection to the database tables - the connection retrieves (at least) the 'ID' or primary key value which I can later use to retrieve the record(s) which match and any fields which I am wanting to search on.
Method 1 : Use the 'datasource' filters option to set up a bunch ...

I've had two experiences with changing the datasource, or list of selectable value, in a drop list.
1. The original value on old forms still displays and actually stays as an option in the drop list until it is changed - at which point the user can't get it back.
2. The original value does not display, because it is not a value in the ...

I was able to do this using jScript - I'll get the code on Monday night. It works by using the change event of root level groups. Group change events get fired any time there is a change in one of their containing fields in the XDocument. I use a global variable which tells the event whether to allow the change to occur or ...
