You can remove this row using the Default Values dialog box.

Glad to help, Steve!
This question has come several times over the past few weeks, and over time, I have found a simpler way to express this formula. What I currently recommend is:
substring(xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(path to field (with any relevant filtering), 'concat(", ", .)'), ".."), 3)
So the formula ...

Have a look at the default value on my:field2 in the attached template. Even if additional rows are added at the beginning of the table, the value remains in the first row. You can replace the "Hello" with the expression for the name value you want to use, and replace my:group2 with the name of your repeating ...

You need your form to be InfoPath ...

What I meant was something like this:
Dim mainNavigator As XPathNavigator = Me.CreateNavigator()
Dim codeInfoNavigator As XPathNavigator = ...

qRules makes this whole process a breeze. You can simply use the SubmitToDbxl command and the command returns the new form's docId. This also takes all the complication out of resubmitting the form before it's closed. Easy as pie.

Me.CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:Date_Letter", Me.NamespaceManager).SetValue(Me.DataSources("DataSourceName").CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("xpath", Me.NamespaceManager).Value)
To put it simply. Naturally, the ideal would be to use variables to store the two namespace managers so you ...
