Validation should happen as soon as the file is attached. Try making the number in your expression much smaller for the sake of experimentation, preview, and attach a large file and see if the control gets a red outline.

It would help if you could include more details. Maybe put the fields for the people picker on the form (see attached screenshot) and see if any of the fields have a value close to what GetUserProfile is returning?

Sorry Hilary I attached wrong file I did not use an expression that was just because I removed a field. Any idea what I can do to make this work. Because Getuserprofile and my people picker return different values I am not sure how I can get this to work. One of the problems is that when the user enters their name is displays it as ...

I updated my form, but I changed your expression a little bit, as the Part Number shouldn't need to be included as a field in the List. I adjusted this to be ParentID instead. It works! I can finally move on.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
I would recommend that the Webinar instructions be updated, unless there is a reason why my form ...

Change the condition on the section that has your "child" data in it. Modify the first dropdown to "The expression" and then delete anything currently in the text box next to it - then put in:
count(../d:SharePointListItem_RW[d:PartNumber = current()/d:PartNumber and d:HideShow = 1]) = 0
I'm attaching a copy of ...

Only the first instance of HideShow for each Part Number is being set when the button is clicked. I'm pretty sure we can work around this with a slightly more sophisticated expression for the formatting - give me a few minutes and I'll have something for you to try.

Right - I don't know why this isn't working. The symptoms as you describe them are very odd, and looking at the form I don't see anything wrong. I've forwarded your most recent post to Patrick to see if he has any insight. I also emailed you via the form to see about getting your list templates so I can set this up in my enviro and ...

So, I assume then that you are not sure why this is not working? Is there anyway that this issue can be show to Patrick Halstead, as he is the one who wrote this instructional?
I was thinking about signing up for one of the service plans when I was having an issue getting the data to populate the child list correctly, but with some help I was ...

The reason I asked about browser vs. filler is that I recall there being a browser bug related to hyperlinks when there are multiple instances of the same repeating group on the form. But since you have the exact same issue in filler (preview), that isn't it. :)
