Hi Mathijs,
I don't have any idea why the error is different for the buttons. In your case, what I would do is disable the Save and Submit buttons by using formatting rules and enable them only when all the required fields are filled in. That way you can prevent those errors.

Hi,
We've seen these issues with InfoPath form layout when viewed by mail. You might want to review this forum post to see if any of the tips in it can help you: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/9806/35195.aspx.

Hello,
You can probably add a rule on Form Load that switches views based on condition (CurrentUser = approver1), something like that.

It may be that your form is trying to talk to a service in a different domain and it can't trust it. Have you tried changing the form to full trust?

Hi - sorry I'm not familiar on using the Task workflow. But it might worth it to check the permissions or roles of users who received the task reassignment - see if they do have enough permissions to edit the task. Or - since you mentioned that the "Edit this task" button is in the email ribbon, I'm starting to think that ...

Hi,
InfoPath doesn’t have a function that will return the difference between two dates. For cases like this, we use a tool called qRules – it has a command called DateDiff that will simply calculate the difference for you.
Meanwhile, you can also do it the long way by adding rules to your form – see sample attached.
Hope that helps!

Hi,
Did you check if you have any rule running on Form Load that sets the value of the second dropdown to blank? I'm also wondering why your using code when you can make cascading dropdowns using rules and filters in InfoPath itself.
