Thanks again for your advice. I believe its the condition that is incorrect for sure. I did the action in a test environment and its firing as intended. You're right also in that the entries on the Sharepoint list have an ID associated with them, so I guess I'll have to try and match the Topic entry with the ID or Title from the Sharepoint ...

Yes, If I check the checkbox I want to copy to a different TextCopy#

Hi Hilary,
Thank you for the sample. I was able to use the Boolean(....current()...) condition to find values in my repeating table. Definitely moving forward now.

Well - the structure here is different from the initial sample you sent me. That means the conditions need to change in the rules. What I was wondering was what is the actual problem you are trying to solve with copying text from repeating fields into non repeating fields via checkboxes? Perhaps there is a better way to do what you want.

Ok, Here is the problem:
If I load the form and fill the first textbox field and check the checkbox as true, that will copy to TextCopy1
but If I add another repeating section and fill the first textbox and check the checkbox as true, it will replace the Textcopy1..... I want to add to TextCopy2 instead of ...

So - can you explain to me the general problem you are trying to solve here? Because the approach you are taking doesn't really make any sense to me.....

FormInstaller is used to install full trust templates. It is not used to removed qRules. I can manually remove qRules from your template - just email it to Support AT Qdabra DOT com and reference this thread.

If a rule isn't firing when a field changes, usually that means the condition is incorrect - or the value of the field isn't what you think it is. For example, the drop down may be storing an ID, and your rule condition is using the item's title. Does that make sense?

Thanks for your reply Hilary,
Yes the rule is associated with the Topic drop-down menu, as it is when the topic is selected (condition) that I want the action to fire in changing the status of a checkbox
