The easy option is to add Validation to the fields. I'm assuming that you cannot do that for whatever reason - perhaps you don't want to display any warnings to the user until the person clicks.
Here's a form with an example of how to show a dialog conditioned on the sum. Hope it helps.

Hola,
Lo que quieres es filtrar los valores en tu formula, así:sum(../my:grupo/my:textbox[../my:checkbox = string(true())])Anexo un formulario como ejemplo. Suerte!

Hi,
The data connection is going to return the user info for whichever user you query for, but your form will need conditions to know when to execute the data connection for the "form creator" or for the "current user". I have rules on load which query GetMyInfo and then set the field(s) for "originator", but I set a condition to only execute this action when the form is ...

Hi-
Not with a MOSS 2007 document library, but you could publish a DBXL form to a form library. If you go to the SharePoint tab in DAT, you'll see the option to specify a form library URL. For more information, check out this document. Let us know if you run into any issues while setting this up.

Hi-
The tool names the xml files based on this setting, so you'll run into issues (overwrites) when the file name already exists in the output location.
