  • Re: General Issue (Traffic Size)

Wouldn't it only be 100kb one time though? The user receiving the form only has to download the template if there has been a revision. So, whenever you publish a new version of the form your bandwidth usage will be 116kb each time a user opens the new form and downloads the new template, but after everyone has the new template they don't have to ...

  • Re: Cycling through a list box for sending emails

Try this code (I think it is a little cleaner than a for loop): DOMNodeList contactList = contacts.DOM.selectNodes(''//YOUR_EMAIL_GROUP''); IMSXMLNode next; // I don't know C# good, but declare a node here (what is the data type?) while( next = contactList.nextNode() ) { thisXDocument.UI.Alert( next.selectSingleNode( ''my:emailNode'' ).text ...

  • Re: Repeating Problem with Repeating Table

Hm, it must be different for databases. This works with XML as main DOM. Try this: XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''//dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:VendorSelect[ @quotenum = ''' + r + ''']/@quotenum'').text = quote; --------------- Matt Faus InfoPath Dev Texas

  • Re: How do I tell the printer not to form feed?

What does your InfoPath form look like that is printing to these cards? I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be too hard to do by simplying tweaking the spacing between each ''card''. One option would be to check out the Page Setup tab of the View Properties (double-click on the view in the views task pane). And play around with the paper size and page ...

  • Re: Query a Secondary Data Source

To get the count of the number of records returned you could do this (substitute obj for XDocument if necessary): var recordsReturned = XDocument.DOM.selectNodes( ''//dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:VendorList'' ); var numberOfRecords = recordsReturned.length; For an easier way to get at the fields there are a couple shortcuts. Check out this ...

  • Re: landscape page after a portrait page

The only way that I can think of to do this is to make two different views. One page will be portrait and then the next landscape. You can change how each view prints by opening the View Properties dialog box by double-clicking on the view name in the Views task pane. Other than that you could use the process described above and print one page ...

  • Re: Main Connection bugs

Erwin, I think you are trying to limit the number of rows that a repeating table connected to a database displays. To do this check out these two tutorials for a much easier way to accomplish ...

  • Create a Tabbed Content Pane

When filling out a form with several different sections it is very convenient to use tabs to separate these sections. Tabs quickly and easily let the user know what sections are available and have become a vital part of graphical user interfaces. Using advanced design techniques, InfoPath can be used to create a fantastic and appealing tabbed ...

  • Create a Custom Task Pane to Switch Views

Custom task panes, and their ability to interface with objects and functions in InfoPath, can be very useful. One such example of utilizing this functionality is creating a custom task pane using some simple JavaScript code that dynamically generates links to the different views in a form. The main difference between changing views in the task ...
