• Re: Setting Email rules based on field values

Sure thing. First, add a field to your main data source: Right click the group you wish to add the field to (probably your top level group) and select Add Name the field email and say okay (note: if you already have something named email, pick another name, just use the name you pick in the other steps). Next, add a rule to the field ...

  • Re: Repeating Tables - Duplicating data from first row.

When you click "verify this formula" you don't get any errors? Are you using IP2003 or 2007? I've found that the behavior with current() is not always consistent between the two. Another thing you can try is using a rule instead of a default value. If you are using IP 2007, I think it will generally add current() for you on ...

  • Re: Repeating Tables - Duplicating data from first row.

Hi, You probably need to add current() to your default value for login: @LOGINID[@DISPLAY_NAME = current()/CustomerName]

  • Re: Setting Email rules based on field values

Hi, and welcome: Can you add a field to your data source for the email address for the submit connection? Then you could use a rule on the region to change the value of that field. That way you have one Submit, to email, with the field as the 'To' value. Let me know if you need more detail.

  • Re: Iterate through a repeating table

I think you may need code. Which version of InfoPath are you using? 2003 or 2007? I ask because the object models are different. In general terms, in the Changed (onAfterChange for 2003 OM) for your number of days in your length of hire field, you select the repeating group or field, and iterate through all the nodes. For example, in C# for the ...

  • Re: Getting the InfoPath Form to open in web browser from Outlook notification email.

Wouldn't you know it -- as soon as I replied to your private message saying "I don't know", I think I found something that might help you. This article on MSDN suggests modifying the URL to include "open in browser". Perhaps instead of attaching the form to the email, you could include a link to it, and modify the link ...

  • URL Input Parameters 'Gotcha'

Ah, input parameters. It is so nice to be able to open a form with some values already filled in, isn't it? Except, of course, when they don't work. And to say they are a bear to debug would be an enormous understatement. I was recently helping a forum user with a form using input parameters passed in from a URL. Every thing looked ...

  • Re: Page break in an optional section

Actually, I don't think that sounds silly at all -- it is what I would have tried. I'm sort of surprised it didn't work. What happened when you did a print preview on the form? You could also try putting the page break in a regular section and conditionally format the section to show or hide.....

  • Re: Attach zip file to infopath form

Hi there: First off, please check out this KB article for information on encoding and decoding. It will help you with things like setting the file name. To select a node and set the value, you can use the following, changing the xpath to point to your node: string xpath = "/my:myFields/my:field1"; XPathNavigator node = ...
