So when you open the submitted form using InfoPath, you can edit the fields that were blank on submit?
-
Copy the files from the CAB folder into a new folder
From the new folder, open manifest.xsf with a text editor, like notepad
Make your changes, save manifest.xsf
From the new folder, try to open manifest.xsf in design mode
If the form opens, you can 'repackage' it by using File / Save As to save the form template

Once you changed it to CAB file and did what? Did you copy out the source files and open manifest.xsf in notepad? Did you make any changes to manifest.xsf? Hate for you to have to rebuild your form if your original can be salvaged!

Hi -- have you tried using SQL endpoints? Here is a blog post on that.
Also, Qdabra, the company I work for, sells a great suite of web services that include the ability to submit to SQL from your InfoPath forms -- you can check out a free trial here.

Okay, do you have the field MainSelectionWeekOf set as a Date data type?
-
That's kind of bizarre. But the default view opens first when you actual open (not preview) the form?

You could try clearing the previous version of the template from your InfoPath cache, just in case that is causing the issue. Open InfoPath and in the Getting Started window, select All Forms from the Form Categories. Select each previous version and under Form Tasks, select Remove this form.

In design mode, if you look under Tools / Resources you'll find the .htm file for the taskpane. You can export the file, modify it in notepad or another editor, then import it again. Off hand, I'd say you could just comment out line 654 (where the rating section begins) to about 765, which looks to be the close div tag for the ratings ...

I think you'll either want to roll back to VS 2005 or install IP2007 on your machine. I know that in IP 2007, you can still design IP 2003 forms, and in VS 2005 with IP 2007 you can still use the 2003 object model. You should download an IP 2007 trial and see if that will work for you with VS 2008.

And there are no errors in the design checker? Perhaps attach your test template to a reply and I can check it against one of my WSS installs with IPFS.
