I overlooked your variable 'xnMyForm' -- I bet that is pointed to your Main Data Source, and, of course, the XPath you are using won't be valid against that.... you'd need something along the lines of:
string RFCID = ...

The example is long and confusing, I know. When you say 'The condition on this field' do you mean you have rule set on IDEmpty? If so, you need to have another rule that changes IDEmpty -- rules only fire if the field the rule is set on changes. You could have an open rule (Tools / Form Options / Open / Rules) that sets IDEmpty to true if ...

Great, so the information for drop down with Company is coming from the same SharePoint list as the Contacts? And you have a repeating table that is supposed to show all the contacts for the selected company? Do you have a filter on that repeating table? Or conditional formatting? If you look in the Data Source Task Pane, and change to the ...

Oh, I see, because there isn't a value in the secondary data connection to the library the for the first form to use. Is this a default value? Or is set by a rule? I suppose you could add an open rule to set the name to IP1W7, or whatever you want in place of NaN, but then you run into the issue of two users opening forms while there are none ...

Hi, Terry:
Welcome to the forum. I hope someone else knows why controls don't always render in email the way they do in a form -- it makes me a bit crazy sometimes, emailing myself to see how my form looks. One thing you could do is add a boolean (true / false) field to your form and right before the rule where you send the email, set the ...

You actually can call code functions from rules. Here's a blog post on that by the InfoPath team -- it is actually a pretty cool and not too difficult technique.....

Hi, welcome!
Since you have MOSS, you must have a SQL db hanging about somewhere -- you could try this technique from my blog....In my blog, I get the ID in the save event, but you could use it in the Loading event just as easily....
