    Repeating table question

I was wondering if it was possible to create a table that would expand /contract that is dependent upon the number of entries.

I have a drop down list called company. When you select a company, the contacts for that company should be listed in a table form. The number of rows should equal the number of contacts

I can get everything linked together but when I preview it, I only get one row/contact even though there might be 5 people listed for that company.

My apologies if this is a repost.

    Thanks
    Curtis

    Re: Repeating table question

Can anyone please offer any assistance with this or at least point me in the right direction.

I've searched the forums for hours to no avail. I have found other topics on repeating tables but they do not cover what I am looking for.

Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

Hi there -- is this form bound to a database? Where does the info for the repeating table come from?

Everything is connected to a sharepoint connection that points to our SQL server. I hope this is the information you are looking for.

    Much thanks.

Great, so the information for drop down with Company is coming from the same SharePoint list as the Contacts? And you have a repeating table that is supposed to show all the contacts for the selected company? Do you have a filter on that repeating table? Or conditional formatting? If you look in the Data Source Task Pane, and change to the secondary data source that you are using for your SharePoint connection, and drag the folder that has the data fields in it onto the form, and preview the form, do you see all the contacts from the list?

    Re: Repeating table question

My apologies, I could have answered that in the previous post. Company and Contacts are coming from seperate SharePoint connections. When I drag the Contact field over, I do get all the contacts.

However, when I use the repeating table I can only get one contact to show up for any given company. The only way I have been able to make it work is by inserting inserting a list box and using filters. Which for that list box, shows all the contacts for a company but there is not a filter on the table itself.

Ideally I would like the table to be dynamic so when I change the company the amount of rows change per amount of contacts. This will allow me to create a matrix that is also dynamic.

For instance Huxtable Supplies has three contacts

    Huxtable Supplies

    Row 1 - Clifford
    Row 2 - Theo
    Row 3 - Rudy
