  • Re: identify row in a Repeating Table

Fred, Try something a little more like this: var idx = eventObj.Source.parentNode.selectSingleNode( ''@idavance'' ); You can use the eventObj to do relative selecting of XML. I hope this helps, let us know how if you have any more questions. Also, if you search around on this forum you might find several code examples to help you out a little ...

  • Re: can't use relative path for XML sec data src

Does the form environemtn change folders often? I would think that an absolute path would be prefereable if you had several forms referencing the same XML. Do the names of the data files change frequently? If they stay the same name you can add the XML document as a secondary data source via the wizard in InfoPath: 1) Choose Data Connections ...

Do you want to display this message in a pop-up box? • Re: Checkbox

OK, I think I found your problem. I think the node that your checkbox is referencing is a text node. This will mean that the value of your checkbox will be different than the boolean true/false. 1) Double-click on the checkbox 2) Notice the ''Value when checked'' and ''Value when cleared'' fields 3) Use these values in your code OR select ...

  • Re: Autonumbering in Infopath

This XPath will access a ticketID, but you must specify which one you want. To use some of the SQL stuff that I suggested above check out the following code: XDocument.QueryAdapter.Command = ''SELECT CustomerID FROM Customers ORDER BY CustomerID DESC''; XDocument.Query(); XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode( ''/dfs:myFields/my:lastID'' ).text = ...

  • Re: Autonumbering in Infopath

I certainly do not mind answering questions, I just thought you might get faster and/or better response from a book or other refined resource. I spend maybe 2 minutes on these replies but people have poured over books for months and months to make them as easy-to-understand as possible and contain the best material. If you are trying to access ...
