• Re: Manipulating Default Values

Do you know what the values will be for those 4 choices in the drop downs? Are those values pretty static? Here's one more try with a default value set up (sample in header again). If you end up needing to add code to your form, I'd suggest making sure you set the programming language to C# first -- you'll find more samples. Tools / ...

Hi, Martin. Welcome to the forum. The reason IP wants to put the controls into a repeating section is because your data structure is repeating in nature. That is -- you've connected your form to a database table. That table can have one to umpteen rows. InfoPath will always assume it has umpteen. I'm not sure if you are using InfoPath ...

Hi-- Check out the attached sample form. Right click the link in the header of this post and save the file locally. Then open in design mode (right click and select design) and preview the form. Selecting values from the drop down at the top will populate values in the repeating table below. The default on the field in the table ...

  • Include a DBXL Link to a Completed Form in Email

It is always nice to alert people via email that there is a form they should look at -- maybe you are using some built in InfoPath capabilities for your work flow rather than having to build one in SharePoint, maybe you just want to make sure that the right people have the right information at the right times -- let's face it... modern humans ...

  • Re: Modify Boolean Value Programatically

As Samir mentioned -- in my sample, I was using a return statement to exit the code, so, as you realized, you weren't ever getting to your export functionality... Glad you're all sorted out!

  • Re: Modify Boolean Value Programatically

Sometimes a sample simplifies things. I've attached a zip with code and a form -- right click the link in the heading of the reply and select save as to save locally. Open the xsn in design mode --you'll need to repoint it to the source code folder under Tools, Form Options, Programming....

  • Re: Modify Boolean Value Programatically

Your second if statement is simply verifying the existance of the showInput node. Is that what you want? Or do you want to know if the node is blank? As far as setting values in the node, try: XPathNavigator showInputControl = MainDataSource.CreateNavigator();if (showInputControl != null) { XPathNavigator showInput = ...

If you need a row counter -- that is, an id for each row that increments by one, check out this sample form. I'm still having a really hard time understanding what you are trying to do, I'm afraid...perhaps you could attach a sample form to your next post (under the Options tab when you reply) or some screen shots.... For ...

  • Re: Shred Question

Hi, Neill: If an existing XML doesn't have an element that you have mapped in DAT, it simply won't provide the mapped column any data. So your new column that the new field maps to will have a NULL value for the rows associated with the forms that don't have the new field.
