Is there a particular reason you want to copy the values from Business Units and Apps into another field? It sounds like you want to copy them into a repeating field -- is that what you mean by formatting the field as a list? If you want to add and populate a repeating field, you'll need to use code or an alternative like qRules.
However, if ...

Hi -- I'm sure you've probably tried this already, but have you run a repair on Office on an affected machine? Also, have you verified that Outlook 2007 is set as the default email? Control Panel > Internet Properties > Programs > Internet Programs section, select the Set programs button. The Default Programs window opens, and you ...

Not that I know of. Browser forms have some limitations when compared with client forms, and this is one of them. Sorry I don't have better news!

Add a tool tip, so when they hover over it, they get some instruction, like ...

Hi:
Nope, not possible in IP w/out code or using our currently free qRules. qRules v 1.8 has a copy table command that will copy information from a secondary data source into your main data source, even repeating data. No code needed, so you might want to give it a try!

Glad that helped! Enjoy qRules.... :)

This MSDN link is my best friend. Which is sort of sad.
