It really depends on your backend storage solution. If you are storing each ''record'' as a separate form, then you might as well just find a convenient way for the user to load the appropraite form. If all you records are stored in a single .xml file or as a database, it would likely make more sense to have a multi view single form.
But these ...

You are fine. Don't worry about the ''my'' namespace. It is used for forms created from the ground up in InfoPath.

I'm glad you got that fixed. Its sounds like kind of a hack of a solution, but it seems to work for now.
1) Date picker's don't actually pick time - only dates. To pick times, you should have a textbox or a drop-down list. Binding both a date picker and a time text box to the same field is not a good idea. The values will override each other. You ...

Sorry... I was assuming you would have just emailed me the template.
Okay, so I have it. Now I need to know a few things...
1) Which view am I looking at?
2) What section/etc. of that view am I looking at?
3) Do I need a sample form.xml file to work with? Or should I just populate it myself -- if so populate what with what?
4) What part exactly, ...

I seem to have a mental block.
Others seems to use ''my'' namespace & ''myFields''. But I do all my stuff through ''//s0:...'' & ''//dfs:...''. The only point I can see for ''my'' is if a ''Add...'' variables (fields or groups) to the ''myFields'' level in IP, and I can't see why I would want to do this. Is it because I'm using datasets & web ...

Just a question about how one might best approach a simple situation:
I have a common (I imagine) requirement. I want an ''add new record'' form, an ''update existing'' form, and maybe (not sure) a find/navigate form. Would this be best tackled as a single form with different views, or separate forms (with either links in IP to switch between ...

Sorry, no, that didn't help at all, but I am grateful that you try :)
Forget some of the detail. Here's what I think is needed:
XDocument.QueryAdapter is hooked to an underlying WebServiceAdapter (in my case). When I go XD.QA.Query(), you ultimately wrap this and do the SOAP exchange with the WS. So I can't seem to get at the ''wrapper'' ...

Hi Greg,
thanks for your answer. Now I have the solution for my Problem (vbscript):
Sub XDocument_OnLoad(eventObj)
Set wshnet = CreateObject(''WScript.Network'')
XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''/my:meineFelder/my:TxtSAccount'').text = wshnet.UserName
End Sub
best regards
