I am writing a form for provisioning IT account requests. A user fills out an IT account requests and indicated their location in one of 50 offices. Each office has unique set of account authorizers. The forms are submitted to a SharePoint Services library. I need to program OnClick, OnSaveRequest, and OnOpen events that use vb.net to looks up ...

You can set the task pane to hide during the OnSwitchView event, which occurs right before the first view is visible. There will be a short flash of it appearing and then disappearing (oh, well!), and then you can make it hide or show from code when the user clicks on the button, based on your needs.
Keep in mind though that the user can still ...

Good idea! We use Web services a lot for this kind of thing.

Interesting scenario and one that I have not heard of before. :) I wonder if you can't make it https on both internal and external? Another idea, would be to make the solution URN-based. Use the Regform tool. Then, the XML files won't have a URL in the name. The downside is that users will have to install the form, and auto-update won't work.

Print margins are different than view margins. Go to the View Properties dialog box, and take a look at the tab that has printer settings on it.

What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

I am having a problem when InfoPath tries to load the template specified in the processing instruction of an XML document. If the form is loaded from our intranet site, everything is fine since the ...

Patrick:
Thanks for your reply.
By traditional, I mean using the DataBind method on a control that exposes a bindable interface... I've extended the MS Data Access blocks, and most of the methods return a DataSet or a DataReader. Using something like: somecontrol.DataBind() throws errors.
I've gone the WebService route, though, so this should ...

What do you mean by ''traditional web/winform binding methods to InfoPath controls''? You can call SQL via code (.NET) and populate dropdown boxes directly. You will need to load the resulting dataset into an XML DOM. That's not terribly difficult but it requires some time.
