To get the XPath for your SelectSingleNode, right click the node and select "Copy XPath". Then paste that in your quotes (though what you have in your post does look correct). Perhaps before getting the value, create another XPathNavigator variable for the node itself, so you can see if that returns null? XPathNavigator surnameNode = ...

Open rules can be found under Tools / Form Options. I can't remember the exact location in IP 2003... In IP 2007 it is on the Open and Save page -- there is a button that says "Open Rules".

The CopyTable command requires that the destination node is the only child of its parent node. In general, this is the optimal way to structure your XML, so it encourages best practices. We need to update our documentation to highlight this, however. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Hi -- have you tried saving a form that gives you this error as source files and inspecting the various schemas to see if there are multiple schemas using the same namespace? If you can find the data connections that have the issue, you could try removing one of them then migrating (with a copy of your template, of course).

Is your code in VSTA? Or are these Visual Studio solutions?
