I dint mean to insert another row, I just advised him to put insertNumberResult in the UI and check the result instead of using UI alert, so that it would be easy to debug/know the result. Agni InfoPath Dev India

I have an infopath form hosted on a sharepoint site and when users go to download the form they are prompted for their username and password for the network. Since everyone needs to access this form, but only one person can do the final approval is there a way to get the network name into a variable so i can check to make sure its the proper user.

It is an active X custom control coded in c#. modified the ict file to reflect the id and it show up under the custom controls.

You say you insert a row and then check whether it exists? so wouldnt that find itself and then always return true? Unless that the insertNumberResult covers that and I just do not know about it you will need a separte query to check whether it exists.

Hi Amish, we had a similar issue in one of our projetcs. If there is too much data that gets changed when you select the master control row, then InfoPath dies. thanks, but the problem is solved. I should use MyForm.ShowDialog() Method instead of MyForm.Show(). I develop an InfoPath form and I use ''InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual Studio .NET'' therefore the problem with a form (in c#). It's c# windows application (Windows Form).
