  • Re: Fully Trusted Forms

Hi Rob, PIA is the Program Interop Assembly for MSHTML so that you can call it from C# or VB.NET. If you installed this on your machine but not on others, it would explain the problem. This is similar to not installing the .NET Framework, but the error is a bit obtuse. Anyway, this MSHTML PIA for InfoPath .NET solutions has been blogged elsewhere. ...

Hi again Tatopitta! Watch out or I may just show up on your desktop with visa in hand. :) Anyway, why is CSV a requirement? Why not use a database? Is it because of the offline requirement and integration with existing apps? Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP] InfoPathDev

  • Re: Database Connection

Hi JoeNash, Can you access the UNC-encoded mdb file from your local machine? Might have something to do with the path. I thought InfoPath supported UNC but need to check. Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP] InfoPathDev

  • Re: How to open form with parameter

Hi Liorlankri, Which parameters? Is it a new form or a previously edited and saved on? For the latter, best to use a template.xml. Another technique is to use /aggregate and import the form to enable special parsing it on load. Need more info on your requirements though. Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP] InfoPathDev

  • Re: Rule to disable edit

Richard, From what I've learned with developing InfoPath forms, there is no quick way to make all of the controls in a view disabled, which means you'll have to put a rule on each one. There is one workaround that I use often though, In you're View Mode (which you want disabled) make all of your fields Expression Boxes. This way the data can't ...

  • Re: Rule to disable edit

If you are doing this it would be a good idea to maintain two views, one for Edit mode and Other for View mode. We can just switch views based on the requirement. Having a conditional formating on each field to enable/disable will effect the performace of your form. Agni InfoPath Dev India

  • Rule to disable edit

I have a view with many controls in it. I want to have two modes for this view, A- Edit mode, where the user is allowed to make changes. B-View mode, where the controls are disabled for edit. Is there a way to this without making a rule on each control.??
