Hi Patrick,
I actually wouldn't mind using the downlevel tool since my goal is for the e-mail recipient to only read the form that has already been filled out. My problem is I don't know how to use the downlevel tool. I know you have to use a JScript code but I don't konw where to put the code.

This is what i also need to do. I have a text box in a repeating section, but when i add the code (count(../preceding-sibling::my:Row) + 1) I get an error.
''../preceding-sibling::my:Row'' does not point to a valid location path of a field or group.
I feel like i need to change the my:Row, but i dont know to what.

Hi again. I sent e-mail to MS. The general consensus over here is that the Standalone problems you are seeing on your SharePoint site are a strange permissions issue. I'm assuming that your site is in the Local Intranet zone. Please confirm. I hope to have more info in a day or so.

Hi again,
You can do this using User-Roles and conditional formatting on the fields in InfoPath. Create roles for each kind of user that will be using the form. Then add display conditions for each form that make the field read-only if they are not the correct role. Good luck!
