Hi John,
The big issue is in mapping to the database and keeping data type fidelity. The Database Accelerator solves both problems by allowing the mapping to be done in data and it roundtrips a blob to preserve full data type. In essence, it is exporting the data to SQL tables using the defined mapping but allowing the client to load and save ...

Is there a way to suppress the standard infopath menu & toolbars (eg, file/edit/view menu, standard and formatting toolbars)? I want the user to basically only see the form appearing with no toolbars, just like a web page viewed in full screen. Can anyone help me out please?

Man that did the trick! I trully don't know much about DOM programming, and anyways, I also didn't know nor where I was, nor that I could use the current() function to ''find myself''! I believed to be in the secondary data source, and so the DOM function would be necessary.
Thanks a lot!

This appears to be one of those ''Best Practice'' issues that I have been encountering as I test InfoPath's various development solutions. Correct me if I am off base, but it seems that using Web Services to pass DataSets to InfoPath encounters significant limitations as described above for reasons to maintain a reusable format for return ...

So, at the risk of sounding extraordinarily naive, how do I know what node current represents? I was thinking it would represent the value displayed in the dropdown System, and since that system is in my main data source, SourceA, that it would refer to SourceA. . . .

Hi,
For fully trusted forms, why don't you start there:http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/ipsdk/html/ipsdkUnderstandingFullyTrustedForms_HV01073332.asp
Hope that it helps.

Hi.
I have an Access database that stores project information: For some entries, I would like to maintain a change history, preferably keeping an instance of all records. For example, I might add a new project risk that has a ''low'' rating, but a week later the risk goes to a ''high'' rating. Using Infopath, I would like to query for current ...

If you do not want to use the built in remove buttons you should look read up on XDocument.View.ExecuteAction method.
As for the filling in of the listbox, it should be a simple as:
- Going to your data source task pane
- Dragging the repeating field onto the form
- If it is text type, the default control will be a textbox. Right click the ...

As you said, you web service seems to be working and returning data. An simple test you can do is:
- When setting connection, check to see of you that automatically retrieve data when form is opened checkbox checked. I would not leave this on in production because it will affect performance. You can hook the running of the web service up later ...

The issue is most likely coming from your filter: [@System=current()/d:SourceA/d:System]. Make certain you know what node current() represents... the XPath following that must be in relation to the actual node represented by current().
