It usually represents the node to which the control is bound. So if your control is a drop-down list box, and it is bound to NodeA... then NodeA should be current(). There are some exceptions, but I believe this should help.

The problem is most likely coming from the get-DOM() call. You should be using current() instead -- which requires a manual update. This topic has been discussed before. Do a search in these Forums for ''current()'' and the results should give you enough info to go on.

Hi,
Have you tried?
function YouButtonName::OnClick(eventObj)
{
var oIE;
oIE = new ActiveXObject(''InternetExplorer.Application'');
oIE.Visible = true;
oIE.navigate(''http://www.infopathdev.com'');
}

Hi Patrick.
Thanks for the welcome! I agree, Infopath is a flexible, easy product to use: Much easier to build and maintain than the Excel/VBA combination I have been using to date for reporting!
Could you point me in a direction where I might learn more about this particular challenge? I'm looking through a couple of books I've purchased and ...

Hello,
After some experimenting and debugging I have managed to creata a signature using .NET 2.0 classes, that was accepted by InfoPath.
The way InfoPath treats signed XML is a black box to me, and I could not find a way to get additional information out of InfoPath, why signature status is error. Thus was my approach to try and create an ...

Hi Patrick and thanks for your answer.

Thank you Patrick.
You helped me so much in my initial baby steps in the InfoPath world, the least I can do is to help a little now (if I can)...

Hi,
Yes you can. I am assuming that you will use C# behind your form.
Call from OnLoad:
public void OnLoad(DocReturnEvent e)
{EnableToolBars(false);}
private void EnableToolBars(bool enableToolbar)
{
ObjectWrapper commandBars = (ObjectWrapper) thisApplication.ActiveWindow.CommandBars;
EnableBar(enableToolbar, ''Menu Bar'', commandBars);

You'll have to add code to get the XML data from the database and send it to IE. Shyam may have more details...
