I'm working on merging forms submitted to a SharePoint 2013 Forms Library (using InfoPath 2013). In SharePoint, the Merge view doesn't even show up as a choice. If I work on the forms in InfoPath, it tells me it cannot merge the forms because of a "Catastrophic failure."
I have choice fields, text fields, rich text ...

I have 4 custom lists built and I am attempting to have a drop-down column in the "Email" custom list be able to select a specific department based on the employee name and email address. I figured out how to make the drop-down menu work if I set the drop-down properties (Get Choices From External Data Source) to a specific ...

Good morning guys,
these days I'm facing a problem with InfoPath in combination with SharePoint. As the title says: I try to show/edit two different lists in one view. Both (let's say the're called measures and KPIs) lists have the same title column which I use to connect both data sets. Now the mean part: If I open an ...

Hi,
I would like to force users to follow IO 8859-1 (Latin-1) (abcd123*-.. etc. i.e. not Chinese characters). Is this possible? I need to know the best, less "heavy" way to do this since the performance is already on the limit in this form due to constantly expanding requirements... But really, any hints of how I could achieve this ...

I saw a video of using CAML to submit repeated data into a SharePoint list but I'm not quite clear on the steps.
Once the caml is created and loaded into InfoPath, I'm not sure how to link it to the list that captures the repeated data.

You really can't - but you can switch views on load, not show the view options in the menu and only use buttons that allow users to switch views, put information in sections that will hide if a user opens a view, etc. Keep in mind that if users have access to the XML files that the form creates, they can view all data from the main data source ...

Replying to "how can I write an absolute path" - see the attached screenshot. Use the full server path in this dialog, not "z:\shareddocs" or whatever but \\servername\shareddocs.

All of this is going to be very hard with just InfoPath and SharePoint, I'm sorry to say. You are really going to have to get the repeating data out of the form in order to do things like analyze and prioritize it.... but submitting data from InfoPath to a SharePoint list requires code or third party tools... I wonder if you could use a ...

You might want to drag the fields bound to the people picker onto a form to confirm this - but I wonder if the display name field will be blank if the account id doesn't resolve. Probably worth checking. :)
