  • Comparing rows of a repeating section or table

Hi, My form has a repeating section that allows users to insert rows. Each row requires a FromDate and a ToDate. What is the easiest way to evalutes the values from one row to another row? eg, I want to validate the rows so that no FromDate equals to another FromDate on another row. Thanks!

  • Re: implementing a browse button

Do you have the ability to deploy your form and OCX with an install program such as Wise? You won't have any issue if you can go that way. Franck

  • Re: Prompt to save changes on close

Hi, There is no On_Form_close event in InfoPath. Therefore, you can force your user to use a close button on your form. In there, you can check the thisApplication.ActiveWindow.XDocument.IsDirty flag to see if anything needs to be saved. Next, you can use System.Windows.Forms.DialogResult to display a customized message box. Based on the ...

  • Re: implementing a browse button

Ok, my results so far... I have successfully created an ActiveX control that implements a browse button and binds the FilePath property to an anyuri field in my data source. How can I best determine if a title has already been used and prompt the user to enter ...

  • Re: Submit a repeating section using a SP

Unfortuneatly I have no idea how it is being generated. The closest thing that comes to mind is that InfoPath is ''Inferring'' the schema when it reads the data when setting up the data connection. It seems to be similar to using the Infer option when reading an XML document into a DataSet in ADO.Net. I have noticed is that lets say you have a ...

  • Re: Submit a repeating section using a SP

Hi, Thanks for your help! I got i working now. First I tried to edit the DataSet in my Web Service project. I set the 'nillable' attribute on the elements. After rebuilding I checked the Web Service and could confirm that the attributes was set. Then I generated a new InfoPath form based on the updated Web Service. The result was the same. The ...
