Hi again Abhishek,
I'm sorry for the delay. I think we can figure this out but it might require a live meeting or something. Maybe you can send me e-mail with a good time on Thursday or Friday. It has to be a cross domain issue. Case2 sounds like the correct publishing method. What is the code that is calling ADS?

Hi,
If you just want to find out if a textbox was cleared with Backspace or Del or if 1 character was removed, maybe you can use the OnAfterChange event and compare the OldValue to the NewValue of the event. If it is more complex logic, you may have to build your own ActiveX control.

Is there a better way (perhaps using standard functions in InfoPath) to check whether a form has been ...

I assume you are referring to something like xdExtension:FldReadOnly() in your conditional formatting. If so, that is the closest thing I know of out there.

One alternate suggested by Patrick Halstead (on another group) is to have a boolean field called as say ''FldReadOnly''
On Form load (or other) use the business logic to check if the fields on the form need to be read-only or allow them to be edited. If fields need to be readonly, within your managed code you can set the field ''FldReadOnly'' ...
