• Re: Migrating from the trial version of qRules

That would be really useful Hilary. I have full access to our SharePoint server. I built it myself so I can't really blame anyone else if there is a config issue with it. ;-)The whole process of uploading admin approved forms via Central Admin seems very clunky so anything that makes that process easier has got to be a bonus. I ...

Okay, this sounds like an environmental issue then... Have you tried deactivating prior to upload, then reactivating after? Do you have server access, or just use central admin on your local machine? I use PowerShell for uploading templates, so much less painful, and I'm happy to share info on that if you have server access - it would probably ...

  • Re: qRules and Web Forms: Erratic Behaviour?

As always thanks for a quick response. I'll check the status of post back. I don't believe I've changed that setting so I guess it's set to the default behaviour (whatever that is). Thank you.

Yes, it is an admin approved form. SharePoint doesn't seem that great at handling changes to forms published in this way though. I don't think I've managed to successfully re-upload a form yet and keep it working.

  • Re: qRules and Web Forms: Erratic Behaviour?

Hey again - so yeah, I've never had this issue, with the form not updating when I upload a new version to central admin. Make sure any controls that execute qRules commands have post back set to always. You can also add the QdabraRules execution history somewhere on your form (we usually use a hidden "debug" view) so you can see if ...

I'm not sure what you mean by republish and upload. Is this an admin deployed browser form? If so, yes, publishing involves re-uploading the template to central admin. Otherwise, generally, you simply re-inject the form, and republish it to the library (or content type, if you are using content types).

I managed to get it working but I had to completely remove the form from SharePoint (and the library that was using it) and then republish and upload. Strange behaviour?

  • qRules and Web Forms: Erratic Behaviour?

Hello, I've created a web form with qRules embedded and I've then published it with the "Admin Approval" functionality of InfoPath. Once I've uploaded my form into SharePoint I'm able to use it via a web part. So far so good. The form does exactly what it should (in this case update a SharePoint ...

  • Re: Infopath 2010: Repeating table inside a repeating section, publish each row to sharepoint list

Hi Hilary, I designed the infopath form. Added a repeating section in form which has 2 text boxes and a repeating table in it. This repeating table contains the fields whose name is same as each field in the SP list and the CAML file. I think I have done some goof up here. The repeating table data should be promoted to the SP list ...

  • Re: DETAILED WORK LOG

Who will be tracking this data? Was the thought that each person would fill out a form when they created a presentation? Where would they submit the data to? If you aren't going to use SharePoint, maybe you could have the form set up to submit to a SQL or an Access DB? I mean, the short answer to your question as to whether IP can be used to ...
