Hilary you're saving me so much time! That is exactly the problem. :-) Funnily enough, earlier on I was explaining to my boss about the userName() function and explaining the difference between what got returned in InfoPath and what got returned in the browser. It never crossed my mind that the same scenario would apply to using ...

I was promoting pc:person instead of accountID thats why i was facing problem in getting a value which can be resolved as email address. Made the change and it works well now.

Oooh, I think you have to get rid of the claims stuff before the user name when you set the user name field in the query params. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/1c21d671-8ca2-4d1a-82ab-48bf2b69a7d3/infopath-query-userprofil-webservice-in-sharepoint-2016?forum=SP2016

However, is this intended to be a browser form? If so, you won't be able to submit directly to SQL, and you'll have to either write your own web service, use a third party web ...

Are you 100% sure there is no code in your form? We've been discussing a form of yours in another thread - and qRules is a code DLL, so if this is the same form, it definitely has code.

I've always used the InfoPath function userName() to return the ID of the logged on user in my forms. This works fine in InfoPath forms and in SharePoint rendered forms.
Recently, I decided to investigate the use of SOAP Web Services (specifically GetUserProfileByName) so that I could return more information about the logged on ...

Hello,
I realize that is an old post, but did you ever work that out? I might be looking at the same issue.
