Can you explain the DESC LIMIT 1? Does the field need to be an autonumber in the table or just an integer? I also need to set my field on the infopath = ticketNum correct?

To do this, you will have to keep track of what the next ticket number is in your Access database. Then, in code you will update the ticket field (probably in the OnLoad event) by querying the database for the last ticket number and increment by one. Check out this SQL statement:
''SELECT ticketNum FROM ticketDatabase ORDER BY ticketNum DESC ...

Can I, in code, execute ''New Record''? The same as the button.
If I put a New Record button on the form, and hit it after the query returns nil, it will add a new record and allow me to enter into the fields. So all I need to do is execute a ''New Record'' in code.
Any idea's?
Thanks.

When you get that error it almost always means that your XPath is wrong. When connecting to a database, I don't think you need the d: namespace before every node, so try this:

Hi! I am trying to create an automatic number field that starts at 531. It's for a ticket support form. I need to program a text box field to increment everytime a new form is created, otherwise if a ticket is just opened not to do anything. I am using VBScript. The form is connected to an Access Database. Thanks,

It sounds like ASP.NET Web Service Extension is not enabled in IIS.
1) Start IIS Manager
2) Click Web Service Extensions.
3) Click ASP.NET v1.1.4322
4) Click Allow
5) Run IISRESET (This step may not be necessary, but it won't hurt)
Then try the accessing the web service again.

Matt, thanks for your response. I appreciate the help.
I'm getting a run-time error '''null' is null or not an object'' with the code you pro recommended. The error is in the second line. I've included it below. I've researching this on my own on MSDN and here but I'm not having any luck. Your wisdom would be much appreciated.
var oRow = ...

Hi Devi,
Thanks for posting. It looks like a simple installation issue. Please give us some more information: what version of IIS was installed? Which version of Windows server are you running?

I installed IIS first and then ADService. It is saying it is successfuly installed.
when I give the URL in the browser it gives the message
<%@ WebService Language=''c#'' Codebehind=''AdUserInfo.asmx.cs'' Class=''ADService.AdUserInfo'' %>
and if I am trying to test with Infopath, after selecting the webservice and trying to give the URL, ...

Well your first problem is thinking that you cannot do it, you CAN!
See this code for easily adding a blank row:
var oRow = XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''/my:myFields/my:Table/my:Row'');
XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode( ''/my:myFields/my:Table'' ).appendChild( oRow.cloneNode(false) );
As for running the code after your query finishes - you ...
