This is my first post on the forum... looks like a lot of good stuff out here. My questions involve updating Microsoft's Sharepoint helpdesk template with an infopath problem ticket. I created the form and tied it to some of the fields in the SQL database but I have a few problems.
1) Is there any way around infopaths inability to use ...

1. How do you open a form in read only mode from a sharepoint library? This would be the desired option
2. Setting the ''Do nothing'' option will not work because we get an xml error and the form will not display.

thx. But actually I would like to do it programmatically but somehow I just cannot change the value of my checkbox.
I tried:
nodeCheckbox.nodeValue = false;
nodeCheckbox.text = ''false'';

Please follow the steps below
1. Drag a check box and a button
2. Create a new view, Copy the check box from the default view and paste it in the new view
3. In the default view Double-Click on the Button
4. Add Rule One: click on Add and click on add actions button.

I have a XML file that was created in InfoPath.
In this XML file there are elements that type is base64Binary.
This element can contain any file (Word, Text, PDF, JPG, etc.).
I mast parsing this XML file, and create files from values that storing in base64Binary elements.
Could you tell me how I can get types of files that was added to xml in MS ...

While I didn't copy and paste the sections I think you may be on the right track. Since a lot of the sections contained some of the same fields I was just referencing them from other sections so that, for example, I could set all cost fields to be doubles in one go.
May be that had something to do with it.

Hmm,
i don't know what is wrong. Somehow it just doesn't work.
I want to set the value of a checkbox form true to false (uncheck the box) in a change view event.
How can I do that. Actually it shouldn't be that big of a task ?

But it returns me an error : Object Required
I'm not sure of the references, what do you think about?

Hi all,
I designed a template on my machine and I saved it on a shared resource. In my project the XML forms are sent to the users by email: so when I open a form and save it on my machine, the href attribute changes from the url of shared resource to the path of local copy of the template.
