I created a quick test -- a DB bound form, table has an ID column, and I cloned from sampledata.xml and appended w/out a problem -- as you can see, this is not in the "my" namespace:
XmlDocument sampleData = new XmlDocument();
sampleData.Load(this.Template.OpenFileFromPackage("sampledata.xml"));XPathNavigator newProject = ...

In IP 2010, check the Data tab of the Ribbon. To the left, you'll see a "Default Values" button. That should let you add instances of your repeating group.

What is the form's Security Level set at? This is under Tools / Form Options / Security & Trust in IP 2003 & 2007, and under File / Info / Advanced Form Options / Security & Trust in IP 2010.

There is. The formula is a little challenging -- here's a explanation of it.
But, you know -- do you need to store the "formatted" pay rate? Why not just put two expressions boxes (calculated values in IP 2010) on your form with some conditional formatting. One has the text "N/H" in it, and is conditionally formatted to ...

What code line do you get the Schema validation error on? Same line? You need to include the "dfs" namespace because it is part of the XPath to the node you are trying to select.
Getting different errors is not necessarily a sign of progress.
Are any of the fields from your database not null -- that is, they have to have to have a ...

Looks to me like your XPath is incorrect in that second to the last line. Shouldn't it be "/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields"?

Hi:
You can concatenate your two field values together.
So, like this:
string field10 = this.MainDataSource.CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:field10", this.NamespaceManager).Value;
string field7 = this.MainDataSource.CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:field7", ...

This error makes it sound as if the data connection to the Qdabra Rules XML file that is injected as a resource was converted. Open the Data Connections dialog, and select QdabraRules and click Modify. When you get to the step where the file location is indicated, click the Resource Files button and select the QdabraRules.xml resource file.
If ...

Hi:
You can still use InfoPath to collect the data -- you'll just need to either base your form off a database if you want the data in a DB (or you can buy or build a web service for putting your data in a DB -- we sell an awesome one). Or, if you don't need the data in a DB, your users can save the XML to a network share, for example. ...

Actually, I don't know that you can promote a field in IP as a Person type (unless using a People Picker does that? Hopefully someone more familiar with that will correct me if it is possible).
Other types should be respected -- if your form field is a date time, for example, your promoted property would be a date time.
