 Hey,

 

I have a repeating table with 1 row. By default if we add a repeating table to a form and preview it, it will show only 1 row. I want it to show 3 rows and there on add single row every time if we insert item( both in preview and after publish to moss with browser :0] )

Look under Tools / Defaults. You can add additional instances of your repeating node. That way when you open it you have 3, but when your users add a row, only one will be added.

I have reviewed the file u have sent. It seems like its very simple to implement it, but however I can not understand one thing. How the field4 is navigating the record in record set. I mean is ther any extra settings. As per my observation you have set one rule to set fiels value as field4 = field4+1. Does only this will work. I have tried it but don't get succeed.

I would appreciate if you can explain me steps in detail.

well the repeating table contains three columns, only two are shown, The third column contains the row number, on the repeating table i have set conditional formatting to show only, the row, whose rowno = field4, and on the buttons i set the value of field4,

right click the repeating table -> conditional formatting. you will see the condtions that governs what is to be hidden.

Even though you have explained it well, I have still little bit confusion.  I had reviewed the condition on the Repeating table. The condition set for this is "field3 != field4". However I can not understand how the field3 which is a "Raw Number" will be updated when you apply condition "Field4 = Field4+1". Also how to set field3 as Raw Number.

Im my case, I am fetching data from database. I have tried to add new field to maintain maintain the raw number, but it does not allow me to add it. I have added myIndex(your field4) in my datasource.

Where is this in IP 2010. I have been looking and looking and have not found anything. If I look under "Control Tools" Properties" my "Default values" is unselecatble. Suggestions.

In IP 2010, check the Data tab of the Ribbon. To the left, you'll see a "Default Values" button. That should let you add instances of your repeating group.
