You should be able to to just two fields:
concat( field1, field2 )
Maybe you forgot to delete the last comma when you deleted the third field. If the above doesn't work, just make the third field and empty string:
concat( field1, field2, '''' )
However, the cool thing about concat is that it accepts (I think) an unlimited number of arguments, ...

I tried that and it gives me the option of inputing 3 fields when I just need two. here's what it looks like (concat(double click to insert field, double click to insert field, double click to insert field)
If I just insert two fields it prompts me to enter a third field. If I delete the third ''enter field'' I get a formula error.

To show text from two fields in one, use the concat() function on the one field.
1. Double-click field3
2. Click the function button in the Default Value section
3. Click Insert Function
4. Find the concat function, select, and click OK.
5. double-click to add field1 and field2 appropriately.
6. Click OK.

Correct, it was giving the error when i tried the form in design mode, but worked without a flaw in realtime.

How do I merge forms but only importing specified Columns?
I want the consolidated form/report to grab from the forms
filled out and saved on Sharepoint - select Columns only.

I´m new to infopath and actually I´m developing my first dynamic form in infopath.
Now I want to call a function (Jscript) from a rule but I haven´t found a rules action type ''Call code'' or something similar.
Isn´t it possible to call code/script from a rule?
I appreciate any help.
