Maybe add a condition on your rule that inserts to check first for the item in the repeating table?
-
Well, I'm sure it is no comfort to hear, but it should work. You should be able to use the condition drop downs and create the same condition on your section that you did on your fields....
If your section remains stubborn, I suppose you could use calculated values (IP 2007 expression boxes) for your field labels, and hide those, but again, ...

Hi:
Printing isn't InfoPath's strong point.
It sounds like you need to have a page break after each instance of your repeating table? A certain amount will depend on your data structure, but here is a link that may help you.

When you create the data connection to your SharePoint list, is the multiline text box not included in the fields to select from?
In general, you can create a connection to a SharePoint list in InfoPath, and drag the repeating data group to the form to generate a repeating table with your secondary data in it....

Is this a browser form? Or client?
If a client form, you may want to look into user roles.... but that won't return your SharePoint admin group. Perhaps you could add these same users to an AD group?
When you say you've had no luck with the web services, what do you mean? They don't return the data you expect? Or you aren't sure ...

The only way I could think of would be to save the form as source files and modify the view manually -- there's a chance you could use find and replace to speed up this process. There is no UI method that I know of.

Hi:
When the user selects an item in the multiselect, is a new item supposed to be added to your repeating table? I'm afraid you are going to have to use qRules for that, or write custom code -- it isn't something InfoPath does out of the box.
As to a text box that filters the multiselect -- you can add a filter to the Entries group for ...

Thanks for updating this thread and including the other link -- I'm sure it will be helpful to others with this issue. Glad you got it sorted!

Hi --
You can, in code, probably do this. You can apply an XSLT to the XML so that you can put the right fields in the right columns. I'm not sure how that would work with adding rows to an existing Excel sheet, however.
Here are some links that may help ...
