  • Re: Insert row on repeating tables goes wrong

If you are binding all of the tables, including the readonly table, to the same data nodes, then all tables have the same rows inserted. Keep in mind that the tables are only visual representations of the data. There is only one set of data, and say 3 tables (as was the case in the original post). Does this answer your question? If not, please ...

  • Re: Inserting into Repeating Table (Main Connection)

You code is unable to clone the row because it can't find one. Even though your template.xml has an ETF row in, it might not have it there when the code runs due to querying the database and returning no results. This seems like the problem. I can't see any problems with the code, but if the selectSingleNode() is returning null then there is no ...

  • Re: auto fill other fields

Hi Carlos. You will probably need to use the XSL current() function for this problem. I would have to know more about your schema and what exactly you are trying to accomplish. Could you paste the XPath you are using currently and a sketch of the relevant schema?

  • Re: Making a form read only after submission

I havent looked into digital signitures yet and we don't currently use them but I will certainly consider it. I thought about a different view, but the LM will need to read the delegates details. Some delegates will require two authorisations, one LM and Department Head, so was going to put the field in a repeating region, so the first ...

  • Re: Making a form read only after submission

Do you already utilize digital signatures? I think that digital signatures would be the surest way of making sure that other users can't change the information. However, if you don't utilize them already, digital signatures might be time consuming to implement. You could consider different views on the form: The LM tick box could live on a ...

I added row to the QuickWatch in MSE. It shows row with a value of ''null'' and its type as ''Object''.

  • Re: Submit form to db connection

There is a builtin wizard that allows you to do this with a submit button and not requring rules or code. Here is how to do with SQL Server: http://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=d2e829ea745e4679b55e24b12017e092 and here is another link that should help you figure it ...

  • Repeating choice cannot contains repeating Section

Hi, I have optimized my schema and I was surprising: infopath cannot have Repeating choice cannot contain repeating Section! When you try to import your schema infopath change the choice repeating section to choice section. Why? Is there a good reason? Or it is a microsoft bug? Thanks for your feedbacks ++ Thierry
