How many lists are involved here? I think we can just lookup to a single other list, and we can return additional column values, but I can't tell what kind of relationship you are trying to create here. Like - if this list item's Category is "Orange", go get a value from another list that also has a Category of "Orange"?

I haven't done this before, so don't know how much help this is - but what do you see in the dev tools console when this happens? Anything useful?

 The documentation says the syntax is: IF(logical_test,value_if_true,value_if_false) You might want to start smaller -  just with one of your values, like: IF(Average_1to3=1,"Low","Test") Then, when you know that is working, replace "Test" with your next IF and so on. 

Any chance I can see your form? You can attach it under the Options tab in a reply.... When you test this, are you tabbing out of the rich text field prior to looking to see if the rules have executed?

Again - this may not be a good fit for a single list - I was just trying to let you know what is / is not available in InfoPath out of the box. It sounds like you have different fields needed based on other factors. If third party tools aren't an option, and if the data must go into lists (as opposed to using regular InfoPath forms that submit ...

SharePoint doesn't like just date, only date time. You could concat in "T00:00:00" with today in order to get around this, or use now instead of today. :)

You can display data from other lists in the same table as your main data source list, just can't edit those. So as long as your main list, that your form is connected to, has all the data the user needs to edit, you should be ok.

We found the issue - since Area was a lookup in the secondary list, we needed to change the filter to use ID instead: count(xdXDocument:GetDOM("RDT List Count Status")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:SharePointListItem_RW/d:Area[. = current()/../my:ID and ../d:Status = "In Service"])

So - writing data to a SharePoint list from InfoPath is only supported using list forms - there isn't an out of the box way to submit to SharePoint lists outside of that. You would need to either use CAML + the SharePoint Lists web service or a third party tool - and if you are using Office 365, CAML + web services won't work. Qdabra, the ...

If you need to allow users to submit to a library, but not be able to access it afterward, you'll probably need to use SharePoint Designer Workflow (or Power Automate) to break permissions - the user has to have permissions to submit, and then you have to remove those permissions.
