Is it possible to duplicate data in different views?

I have created a form with several different views.  A user will enter data in the user view, which contains several text boxes and drop downs.  Later, an engineer will view the form in the engineer view (views are restricted based on sharepoint lists).  I would like some of the user entered data to be displayed in the engineer view.  The engineer then disseminates the work into additional team views.  I was hoping I could simply copy the sections containing the data I want displayed, but the copied fields say that data cannot be displayed correctly.

Is there an easy (or any) way to accomplish this?

    Thanks for any help!

Well, usually that just means that there is something wrong w/ the structure - like the fields belong inside a repeating group and you've put them outside of it. :) Try copying the entire view from one to the other, then remove the fields you don't need, see if that helps. Feel free to attach your form under the Options tab in a reply if you want a hand.

Hilary, I feel like such a dunce.  Your suggestion worked.  Thank you very much!

You aren't a dunce at all - this stuff is confusing. Glad you have it working. :)

Regardless, thank you for taking the time to answer the smaller, less trivial questions (like mine).  I don't post often but am a lurker, particularly when I have issues.  Your expert advice and solutions are always appreciated.  :)  Have a great afternoon!

Hello Hilary, I have a similar issue:

The user enters data on the "Tracker View" that is submitted to two different libraries.   The QA goes into the "Assessment" library and opens the form to complete the assessment in "Assessment View" that has additional fields.  This library and the additional fields need to be protected from public view.

If you need to allow users to submit to a library, but not be able to access it afterward, you'll probably need to use SharePoint Designer Workflow (or Power Automate) to break permissions - the user has to have permissions to submit, and then you have to remove those permissions. Or, instead of submitting to two libraries, you might use workflow to copy the file from one to the other - but I don't think you'll be able to fix this out of the box.
