  • Re: Numbered Lists Infopath 2003

Yes, you will find that you have to use repeating sections to mimic the look of other controls to get the full functionality desired. We use this to get repeating tables to scroll in a smaller scrolling region, and many other tricks.

  • Re: Saving a form in Draft Mode

Exactly. That was one of the key design points for InfoPath. To allow locally saving a document in progress.

  • Re: Add Controls To InfoPath Form Programatically

Welcome to our forum! The way to look at InfoPath is not programming against the view (which you cannot do) but by looking at the data and designing the view to take into account the possible shapes of the data. In this case, the measures would be a repeating section with a field and thus each one would show up in the series. In terms of ...

  • Re: Final xml file

In this case you are using form-based email workflow. There isn't a codeless way to automatically save the file to a shared location and then send the next recipient just a pointer to that file. The reason why InfoPath asks to save the file after that submit is that is to be sure the user is notified that they haven't saved their own copy of the ...

  • Re: Repeating Table - Initialize new Row

This is old but figured I'd just wrap up the question. The reason why it doesn't work is that you can't actually attach the rule to the new insert. It might work with a default value, but I've never tried it. If you use default value, be sure to uncheck the box to update value when formula result changes. Or else changing the previous would ...

  • Re: Extract Week Number from Date

Hi kurtd Welcome to the forums, By using on after change event on date field you can set the week number to another field. Depends on your setting date format (eg: dd/mm/yyyy) get the complete date value. By using substring functions you can get the ‘dd#%92 value in C#. By getting ‘dd#%92 value you need to calculate ((dd / 7) + 1) is week number ...

  • Re: Add Sharepoint List Items with InfoPath

For #1 I would double-check to make sure that the data types in both places were compatible. You can have a date or a datetime in both InfoPath and SharePoint. Make sure you are not trying to submit a datetime into a date or vice versa. 2) Does the Contact table not have the Company ID that it is associated with? I would think that this filter ...

  • Extract Week Number from Date

Hello, I have two fields that get submitted to a database. One is a date field with the date picker. The other is a normal text box for the week number. When someone picks a date in the date field, I would like the week number to appear in the other text box as the default value. How can I do this?

  • Re: Add Sharepoint List Items with InfoPath

Hey, I did some more searching and figured out how to make this work with a pretty form, I only have two more minor issues with it, that I hope someone can help me workaround: Quick background - I am creating a corporate contacts journal - so that people at our company can determine who spoke to whom at one of our clients. The whole thing posts ...
