There are four basic ways to recieve data in an InfoPath form: 1. XML Document 2. Database 3. Web Service 4. SharePoint

I thinky what Kalyan is suggesting is the only way to do it in the designer. However, if you want to go about it the ''advanced'' way you could extract the form files, and then perform a Search in Files opertion using your favorite text editor. You will find the field in the XSD files, of course, but if you don't find them referenced by any XSL ...

People, How do I prevent a user from entering in anything else except Numeric Characters in the TEXT Box?? I don't even want them to be able to type Numeric Characters in the text box. Michael

Matt, I have it working. All I have to do now is write the SQL Query or XMSL to calculate the sum for each month and put it in the ytd Expense, ytd Budgeted, ytd Variance column and so fourth. Can you help me out.

I got a question. I'm a little new at this. Some else is telling to do this by a Web service, I think that the advice is wrong because I already have a main dataconnection using a data sorce to the SQL database. So, all I have to do is 1. Click Tools -> Data Connections -> Add 2. Select Recieve Data, Database, select your tables, and ...

And it won't tell me if, as in this case, I am using a field to keep dropdown list values, or to save auxiliary data without showing it on the form or binding it to a control. Is there a place, say in one of the form files, where I can find all the fields I am using? I just don't want to miss one, ...

Hi, You can do one thing to identify unused field in datsource. Click the every control in the form in design mode, when we click on any control, corresponding field will highlight in the datasource. This way , you can find unused field. I hope this will help for you, Thanks.
