Hi Deb and Patrick,
Its not because of any rules or any code behind.
Even I noticed that it happens in the following condition.
I built a form using the ''New from Dataconnection'' option. And I drag all the query and data fields to the default view i.e View1.
Now if I add the ''Run Query'' button and ''New Record'' button to another view say ...

Thanks for your fast reply Matt.
That code resolves my 3) question.
I will explain better my introduction to 3) question: I have putted the KB article code on the ''onClick'' function of a button. The user can click the button, even if there are red asteriscs and red boxed fields, and the code would not validate that and save the form ...

I have several repeating groups which all have a field with a unqiue identifier. These are displayed as master/detail controls. Imagine these relate to different aspects of a room such as window, walls, ceiling, floor etc.

When the form changes to rework view all the signatures need to be removed unlocking these discrete data sections and allowing for new changes to be made by the original submitter. As the form goes back to review - the ...

I'm not sure why your forum is switching to the other view, but it may have something to do with the rules around the existing Search button. Go to Designer, double click on Search. Click on Rules to see if there are any rules. If ...

Hi Bernie,
Interesting problem! My suggestion would be to put a wrapper section around the entire section that you want to sign and hide that. In other words, don't hide the inner. My guess is that InfoPath isn't smart about hiding the signature control when the section is hidden, but not sure.

Hi Eric,
I would look at signing individual sections as opposed to the entire forum. Then you can have some sections that show data which is editable where other sections (in your Finalized View) are locked down. Keep in mind that the fields are locked down when the form is signed. If the data field is in a section that has a signature, you can't ...

Hey ek38,
I just tried this and the Form Library that I connected to returned the filename in the ''@Title'' field. I pasted this at the end of the URL in IE and was prompted to download and save/open the form.
Does Title not contain the name of the XML file for you?

Hi DTobias and terribly sorry for the delay in responding. I am responsible for the errant reference on page 52. We had originally planned to add a section on custom merge and then cut it. Nobody caught this mistake during review. I'm sorry about this and thank you for pointing it out. It is a very good find.
You are going to need to do a custom ...
