Can someone tell me specifically how you increase the timeout for an InfoPath data connection with code ? Can you give me an example of code needed ? I have a production application that is failing for sites in Europe traveling slower Wan links.

Is there an easy way other than validation to offer the user help on filling in the form, e.g. a help button next to the box being filled in which produces a help comment.

I want the red asterix that appears next to a box to only appear when the box cannot be blank (which it does), but not as is the case also when there is a validation message that I have created saying ''Please fill in with your name''. Can you control when this red asterix appears?

We have Sharepoint 2003, would like to use MS Office Forms Server 2007.
What is required to run this? Full upgrade of Sharepoint or just install Forms Server?

Thanks for your reply but this was exactly what I was doing!! It was not working due to the tick box not being bound properly (I think) but when I fixed this it worked.

Someone posted on another forum that it can be stand-alone without Sharepoint and of course other sites indicate that it requires Sharepoint.
Seems excessive to have Sharepoint when all we require is infopath from the browser.

That is exactly the issue, I can't. The colomn I am showing in my SharePoint is the result of a purchase form including taxes. When calculating taxes it always goes beyond 2 decimals. I would just like that visual cap I put on InfoPath to be transferred into my SharePoint. It looks very confusing with 4 decimals.

I'm evaluating the possibility to use InfoPath 2003 SP2 to make data entry, but with users not connected to our corporate intranet. How can i publish the XSN file to make it available also for these users?
Maybe using regform and with setup?
Any suggestion is welcomed.
