Solved the problem by using a temporary hidden field which takes the value from current DDL and uses it to load text into Value text box of current row.
Got help from post:http://aspalliance.com/497_InfoPath_Populating_Fields_from_DropDown_Selection
Did it all using InfoPath. No need for Visual Studio as indicated in that example.

Thanks Greg, Patrick.
Greg,
If I have a single form with multiple views, wouldn't that still load the entire form's DOM on the server, thereby reducing any performance advantages? I agree it may enable a better user experience, from a navigation perspective.
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm having a problem loading values from a DDL to a text box. The form connects to a Secondary Data source.
The form structure is:
Main
> myFields
> TestData (Repeating)
- TestScenario

The Secondary Data comes from a SharePoint list with the following data structure:
TestData
- ID
- Scenario

Hi Micky,
That's a good point. Hmmm. Thinking. Why not just use the taskpane? The other thing you could do is add an HTML dialog that pops up when the button is pressed and they click a link in that but that's clunky. Very interesting problem. I'm still thinking about it .... you could always use some code.... thinking more ....

The rule should have no condition but an action that sets a fields value. Specify the new field and add a function that is the concat(''$'', MonthlyBudget) - ...

We are about to release our new Database Accelerator Suite (Basic version is FREE) which you could use to do this *WITHOUT HAVING TO WRITE CODE*. The suite will go live in 3-4 weeks. In the meantime, please send me e-mail if you'd like to install a beta version. ...

Hi Kidthnk1,
Before we send detailed steps on our Active Directory Web Service, do you have access to a server running IIS 5.1 or greater? You'll need that to install the Web service.
If you have InfoPath 2007, you can get the username without writing code and compare this to the list in the dropdown. This is easier than installing our AD Web ...

As usual, I agree with Greg.

Hi Sylvain,
What kind of data? Why not just use a rule and a bunch of field set actions? That's easy and doesn't require code.
