One of the solutions might be creating hidden field with the set of rules shared by each button. Then,after executing actions which are different from shared set at one of the buttons just trigger Updated event on hidden field by assigning an new value (i.e. now()) so shared set of rules will be executed.

Same with rules only: http://alecpojidaev.wordpress.com/2008/12/30/infopath-codeless-programming-walkthrough-2/

That's possible only if amount of items in your repeating section is under 15 items. I did something similar with receive connection here.

I see no problem to calculate weeknumber by applying same principles as in that article:
http://alecpojidaev.wordpress.com/2008/12/30/infopath-codeless-programming-walkthrough-2/
the week number will be amount of days since the beginning of the first week of the year divided by 7 and rounded to the largest integer.

Make sure that your field with userName() function has "Update this field value when the result of the formula is recalculated" checkbox checked.

Yes, it's kind of overkill but it will work for sure.

Looks like it's a problems with one of the accounts used to authorize SP service. Please double check that you are not using any local accounts and all your service accounts have domain admin rights.

My bad. I hadnt noticed you have problems with workflow not customized page.

When I was in the similar situation I've created additional column and populated it from a workflow. Workflow allows to do complex logical computations so I was able to filter by that column.
There is also posibility (which maybe even better) of creating calculated column. In the column expression you could calculate ...

Right. But ddwrt namespace has such function as UrlEncode.
{ddwrt:UrlEncode(yourlink)}
In case if you'll need to replace something not url related in SPDesigner:
concat(substring-before($MyVar,' '),'MyMightyReplacedString',substring-after($MyVar,' '))
