    dropdown list and colors

    Hello,

is it possible to access the color settings for a drop down list programmatically ? I know I can change the the used text color with the view, but I want to have a different color for each entry in the dropdown. Is that possible ?

    Hi,

It is possible with conditional formatting.

Go to drop down properties--> Display tab --> conditional formmatting --> set a condition and select the color of font you want for that value.

Hi thank you for the advice, but is not working as I wanted to have it. It seems the work on the index, not on the value assigned to it and It only works after selecting. I wanted to have the different colors, when opening the dropdown list to see the different choices. I suppose it is not possible to have it that way.

     Anyway thanks for the help.

Hi,This is possible. But you need to this in view.xsl manually. To do this follow the below steps.1.    Add the values in the drop down list. (ex: s1, s2, s3,..)2.    Open the view.xsl and search for ‘s1’. You will see one line <option value="s1">Replace this with <option style="COLOR: #ff0000" value="s1"> Or <option style="COLOR: RED" value="s1"> Here #ff0000   -> indicates red color.3.    Repeat the step2 for other values.4.    Save the xsl.

Ah great thank you, but there is a problem. I'm adding the values of the dropdown dynamically. The content depends on the selection of another drop down.

Anyway, thank you for the advice.
