Certified Authentification problem accessing InfoPath docs via web

Hello! I have a problem that hopefully will be solved in this discussion. The problem is: I'm using WinXP and I'm trying to access InfoPath document, which is published on https:// site. When opening this site, it request authorization. When I provide credentials, I click on the document link. Then it shows window, which ask me to choose a digital certificate from the list below. Problem is that the list is empty. When I click OK, it asks me for credentials again. I have read different articles and solutions about this, but none gave the results. Also, the problem exists only in XP, in VISTA everything works fine. I have developers, who made the CA certificate, so I asked them, where is the problem. Their response was, that there is some issue with InfoPath. Does anyone have idea about this problem? And what could be the difference between the same certificate in vista and XP?

    Hello Marmeks.

I have fought with certificates for a while, and I know what a pain it can be.

You say the document is pubished on a site, but is it a sharepoint or a another CM? because if that's the case, and the permissions are set right, you could try to publish them without the certificates.

The main template of the document is at the site, so if a user can open a new document, he has sufficient rights, so a certificate might be overkill. (the user has to have an account, sufficient rights AND a certificate).

If the certificate isn't at the extra > options menu, it might be that it isn't supplied with the document for you, you could try reeling it in manually and then try to install it.

Hopefully this was usefull for you, if you've found another solution we'll be glad to hear it from you how you did it.
