I think that I know the answer to this, but I would like someone to prove me wrong. I have a form with many repeating tables that have fields that I am promoting to a SP view. Since the fields are in repeating tables, I have to use 'merge' during promotion in order to get all instances of that filed to display. The problem is that I need to be able to sort those items that have been merged. From what I have read, that is not possible.
I have tried a variety of solutions but untimatley none of them worked. The most promising was to create a field that contained a unique value for each instance of the data that I wanted to sort on and promote it, but I still have to merge the sort data in order for it to show. Back to square one. If anyone can impart some wisdom, that would be fantastic.
