A different take on Multiview Master/Detail

Here's what I'm trying to do:
I have a DB with one table that I want to have a Query of only a few fields that will show the results in a different view much like the Master view is set up. (I refer the the excellent How to on this site). I then want to be able to select a record to view in a new Detail view (Again, as referenced in the How to tutorial). On the Detail view, I want to be able to make/submit changes, that upon submit close the detail view and brings me back to the results of my query in the Master view. Is this possible?

Hi MCalicea and welcome to our forum,

This is easy to do with our Database Accelerator Suite but difficult without because of the limitations in InfoPath of passing parameters to your SQL query. Send me e-mail, and I'll send you a free beta version. Please seehttp://www.qdabra.com/proddetail.asp?prod=QDBXL1 for details on our V1 suite. We are currently finishing up version 2 and hope to release it in the month. We haven't finalized plans, but we will probably have a free campaign to give away Standard Server Licenses for first 100 users who deploy and send us detailed feedback on usage scenarios.

If you'd like a quick Live Meeting demo of your exact scenario working with our suite, send me e-mail and I'd be happy to schedule something virtually.
