Save Form and Open New Form

    Hello all, first the background.

I'm using SharePoint 2007 Enterprise, InfoPath 2007.  I have a Web Part page in SharePoint that displays an InfoPath form.  When the user clicks on the save button, I would like the form to create the file with a unique filename (something like concat("Request-", now()) ), then automatically close and re-open a new form for data entry.

     Where I'm at.

I have a form that is displayed in the SharePoint web part and when the user fills it out and clicks the Save button the user is prompted to enter a file name.  Once they do, the .xml file is successfully created in the SharePoint form library.  It does not automatically name the file with a unique name and when finished, the users data remains on the page.  I don't want to just use the Close feature as it returns the user to the SharePoint Form Library.

     Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Save Form and Open New Form

    Hi,

In Submit OptionsàAdvancedàAfter Submit: drop down, select 'Create a New, Blank form'. This will Save the form and opens the New, Blank form.

About File Name, I implemented the same as you given. It is not asking me to enter file name. Can you give me more details on this.

Re: Save Form and Open New Form

I'm not using the Submit button but rather just the "Save" button under Form Options.  If I use the submit, the data gets stored in the SharePoint list but the .xml file does not.  When you use the "Save" button, the user is prompted to enter a filename.  This is the step I'm looking to avoid.

    Hope that helps
